Ukto Privacy Policy

The short version

Ukto is made by one person, not an advertising company. You can use it without giving a name, an email address or a phone number. Your learning data is yours, it is never sold, and you can delete all of it from inside the app.

Your account

Ukto signs you in anonymously. The account is an identifier generated on your device — it is not linked to your real name, your email or your phone number, and we never ask for them.

If you are 18 or over and cloud sync is on, your progress is also stored on our server under that identifier. There is no login yet, so it cannot be restored on a new phone or after reinstalling the app. Row Level Security on the database means one account can only ever read its own row.

What we store

Lesson progress, quiz results, streaks, XP and level. Your settings: language, theme, notification preferences. Which age group you are in (13–17, or 18 and over) — that answer only, never your birth date. A per-install identifier used to keep a Premium purchase bound to the device that bought it.

Counts of how many lessons have been generated, used only to enforce the daily fair-use limit. These are counts, not content.

What we never collect

Contacts, location, photos, microphone, calendar or installed apps. Ukto does not request these permissions at all, so it could not collect them even by mistake.

AI-generated lessons

Lessons, Ask Ukto, the Talk with AI chat missions and the daily card are written by Gemma, Google’s open language model, running on Cloudflare Workers AI. Your app sends the request to our own server on Cloudflare, and the model runs inside Cloudflare’s network — no separate AI company receives it, and Cloudflare does not use it to train AI models. There is no AI key in the app, so a copy of the app cannot be used to make AI requests in your name. Lessons written before 23 September 2026 were written by Google’s Gemini and are stored on our server; opening one sends nothing to Google.

What is sent for a lesson: the topic, your chosen language, and your level. What is not sent: your name, your account identifier, your quiz answers, or your progress. When you ask Ukto a question, the text you type is sent to the model the same way. In a Talk with AI chat mission, the scenario and the conversation so far (at most eight of your messages) are sent with each message so the AI can answer and, at the end, score it; none of it is stored. Leave out anything you would not want a third party to read.

Requests pass through per-device and overall daily limits before they reach the provider. This is what keeps the free tier possible and stops the service being used as a free AI gateway.

Language models make confident mistakes. Treat lessons as a starting point and verify anything you intend to rely on.

You can report any AI answer or lesson with the flag button or "Report a problem". A report sends us the reported text, the reason you picked, the message that produced it (for Ask and chat missions), the lesson id (for lessons), and the app language and version. Nothing that identifies you is attached, and reports are deleted after 180 days.

Ads

The free tier shows ads from Google AdMob. By default Ukto asks for non-personalised ads, so AdMob is asked not to use a profile of you to choose them. Personalised ads are requested only if you agree to them in the consent message shown in some regions, and you can change that choice any time in Settings.

The Google Mobile Ads SDK can read your device’s advertising ID, which Google uses for things like fraud prevention and limiting how often you see the same ad. On Android you can reset or delete it in your phone’s Google settings. On iPhone, Ukto never asks to track you, so the advertising ID stays unavailable to it, and ads there are always non-personalised.

If you are 13 to 17, every ad request is marked as coming from someone under the age of consent: ads are never personalised, on any phone, in any country, and you are never shown a form asking you to agree to tracking.

Premium removes ads completely. On a Premium account the ads SDK is never started at all — not merely hidden.

Who else sees data

Supabase stores synced progress (adults only). Cloudflare runs our server and the AI model on it (Workers AI), so it receives lesson topics and the questions you ask, as described above. RevenueCat checks your subscription status with Google Play or the App Store; it sees an anonymous account identifier and your purchase history, never your card or payment details. Google Play and the App Store take the payment itself. Google AdMob serves ads on the free tier. No one else, and nothing is sold or shared for marketing.

Deleting your data

Settings › Delete account removes your synced data from our servers and clears everything stored on the device. It cannot be undone, and nothing is retained afterwards.

A subscription is billed by Google Play or the App Store, not by us. Deleting your Ukto account does not cancel it — cancel from your store account.

Age

Ukto is for people aged 13 and over. The app asks for your birth month and year once, before anything else. Only the age group is kept, not the date.

If you are 13 to 17 you get the whole app, with extra protection: ads are never personalised (see Ads), and no account is created for you on our server — your progress stays on your phone. We recommend using Ukto with a parent or guardian knowing. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, which can require a parent’s approval.

Someone under 13 is stopped at that screen before the app signs in, syncs anything or starts the ads SDK, so nothing about them is stored or sent. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us and we will delete their data.

News links are fetched by your phone

The "In AI right now" section reads public RSS feeds from a few technology publications directly from your device, at most twice a day. Your IP address reaches those publishers exactly as it would if you opened their site in a browser. We do not send them anything about you, and we do not receive anything about you back.

The daily "Today in AI" card is written by AI on our server from official AI company announcements, and it is labelled as AI-written with a link to its source. Loading it sends nothing about you — the same card goes to everyone.

Kaç ders üretildiğinin sayısı — yalnızca günlük adil kullanım sınırını uygulamak için. Bunlar içerik değil, sayıdır.

Asla toplamadıklarımız

Rehber, konum, fotoğraflar, mikrofon, takvim veya yüklü uygulamalar. Ukto bu izinleri hiç istemez, dolayısıyla yanlışlıkla bile toplayamaz.

AI ile üretilen dersler

Dersleri, Ukto’ya Sor’u, AI ile Konuş sohbet görevlerini ve günlük kartı, Google’ın açık dil modeli Gemma yazar; model Cloudflare Workers AI üzerinde çalışır. Uygulaman isteği Cloudflare’deki kendi sunucumuza gönderir ve model Cloudflare’in ağı içinde çalışır — isteğini ayrı bir yapay zeka şirketi almaz ve Cloudflare onu yapay zeka modeli eğitmek için kullanmaz. AI ile Konuş sohbet görevinde, AI’ın cevap verebilmesi ve sonunda puanlayabilmesi için senaryo ve o ana kadarki sohbet (en fazla sekiz mesajın) her mesajla gönderilir; hiçbiri saklanmaz. Üçüncü bir tarafın okumasını istemeyeceğin bir şey yazma.

İstekler sağlayıcıya ulaşmadan önce cihaz başına ve genel günlük sınırlardan geçer. Ücretsiz katmanı mümkün kılan ve servisin bedava bir AI geçidi gibi kullanılmasını engelleyen budur.

Dil modelleri kendinden emin şekilde hata yapar. Dersleri bir başlangıç noktası olarak gör ve güveneceğin her şeyi doğrula.

Her AI cevabını veya dersi bayrak düğmesiyle ya da "Sorun bildir" ile bildirebilirsin. Bildirim bize bildirdiğin metni, seçtiğin nedeni, onu üreten mesajı (Sor ve sohbet görevleri için), ders kimliğini (dersler için) ve uygulamanın dilini ve sürümünü gönderir. Seni tanımlayan hiçbir bilgi eklenmez ve bildirimler 180 gün sonra silinir.

Reklamlar

Ücretsiz katman Google AdMob reklamları gösterir. Ukto varsayılan olarak kişiselleştirilmemiş reklam ister, yani AdMob'dan seçim için senin profilini kullanmaması istenir. Kişiselleştirilmiş reklam yalnızca bazı bölgelerde gösterilen onay mesajında buna izin verirsen istenir; bu seçimi istediğin zaman Ayarlar'dan değiştirebilirsin.

Google Mobile Ads SDK'sı cihazının reklam kimliğini okuyabilir; Google bunu dolandırıcılığı önlemek ve aynı reklamı ne sıklıkla gördüğünü sınırlamak gibi işler için kullanır. Android'de bu kimliği telefonunun Google ayarlarından sıfırlayabilir veya silebilirsin. iPhone'da Ukto seni izlemek için hiç izin istemez, bu yüzden reklam kimliğine erişemez ve oradaki reklamlar her zaman kişiselleştirilmemiştir.

13-17 yaş arasındaysan her reklam isteği, onay yaşının altındaki birinden geliyor diye işaretlenir: reklamlar hiçbir telefonda, hiçbir ülkede kişiselleştirilmez ve sana izlemeyi kabul etmeni isteyen bir form hiç gösterilmez.

Premium reklamları tamamen kaldırır. Premium hesapta reklam SDK'sı hiç başlatılmaz — yalnızca gizlenmez.

Veriyi başka kim görüyor

Supabase senkronize ilerlemeyi saklar (yalnızca yetişkinler). Cloudflare, sunucumuzu ve üzerindeki yapay zeka modelini (Workers AI) çalıştırır; bu yüzden yukarıda anlatıldığı gibi ders konularını ve sorduğun soruları alır. RevenueCat abonelik durumunu Google Play veya App Store ile kontrol eder; anonim bir hesap kimliğini ve satın alma geçmişini görür, kartını ya da ödeme bilgilerini asla görmez. Ödemenin kendisini Google Play ve App Store alır. Google AdMob ücretsiz katmanda reklam sunar. Başka kimse yok; hiçbir şey satılmaz veya pazarlama için paylaşılmaz.

Verini silmek

Ayarlar › Hesabı sil, senkronize verini sunucularımızdan kaldırır ve cihazda saklanan her şeyi temizler. Geri alınamaz ve sonrasında hiçbir şey saklanmaz.

Abonelik bizim değil, Google Play veya App Store tarafından faturalandırılır. Ukto hesabını silmek aboneliği iptal etmez — mağaza hesabından iptal etmelisin.

Yaş

Ukto 13 yaş ve üzeri içindir. Uygulama her şeyden önce bir kez doğum ayını ve yılını sorar. Tarih saklanmaz, yalnızca yaş grubu saklanır.

13-17 yaş arasındaysan uygulamanın tamamını, ek korumayla kullanırsın: reklamlar asla kişiselleştirilmez (bkz. Reklamlar) ve sunucumuzda senin için bir hesap açılmaz — ilerlemen telefonunda kalır. Ukto’yu bir velinin haberi olarak kullanmanı öneririz. Satın almalar App Store veya Google Play üzerinden yapılır; bunlar veli onayı isteyebilir.

13 yaşından küçük biri, uygulama oturum açmadan, bir şey senkronize etmeden veya reklam SDK'sını başlatmadan önce o ekranda durdurulur; bu yüzden onunla ilgili hiçbir şey saklanmaz veya gönderilmez. 13 yaşından küçük bir çocuğun uygulamayı kullandığını düşünüyorsan bize yaz, verisini sileriz.
